- Use the endpoint above with OAuth. Where offered, allow public-client registration; ScanMySEO does not issue a client secret.

- Return to ChatGPT and ask: “Find my latest ScanMySEO report and explain its scope.”

- Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose the custom connector option where your account permits it.
- Add ScanMySEO and paste the remote endpoint. Use OAuth, without inventing a secret or callback.
- Connect, sign into ScanMySEO and approve the intended website and permissions.
- Ask: “Use my existing ScanMySEO audit. Show confirmed priorities separately from items needing review.”
Custom connector access and Connectors Directory submission have different eligibility requirements. Setup and listing approval are separate.

Create a scoped connection on ScanMySEO and copy its one-time token into the client’s protected credential field, never a chat prompt. For OAuth, clients can register exact callbacks with the advertised registration endpoint. The operator can also pre-register an exact callback. Tokens expire; reconnect through the original host’s OAuth flow rather than widening permission or sharing credentials.

Before a new audit
Your assistant checks the existing reports, page limits and available allowance. A quote does not reserve or consume an audit.
While it runs
Starting an approved audit reserves its entitlement. The same operation remains available to follow, even after a client reconnects.
After delivery
The existing report-delivery rules decide consumption or release. Reading the completed report does not spend another crawl allowance.
After the free allowance
Included plan allowance and separately purchased one-off credits remain distinct. ScanMySEO uses eligible included allowance first, then the smallest suitable available credit. Using a larger credit than necessary requires confirmation. Existing account access can be changed independently through the normal ScanMySEO account workflow; a connection does not buy or add allowance.
When access is insufficient, your assistant can explain the limit and retain the saved request. After an independent account change, recheck that same request. Its scope, consent and current limits are checked again.

Reading, filtering and preparing a repair brief do not call ScanMySEO’s models. Your host assistant can reason over the supplied evidence using its own service.
Ask Cozmo and Enhanced AI are explicit ScanMySEO actions. The appropriate scope, existing report access, operator enablement, a positive AI budget and your approval of the exact saved action are required. Limits are checked again before provider work.

A few useful boundaries.
Why is a completed audit described as partial?
The reviewed pages can support a useful delivered report without proving complete website coverage. A page cap, limited discovery or unavailable pages must not become a claim that the rest of the site passed.
What happens when access expires or is revoked?
Reconnect through your assistant and review consent again. Revoking a connection blocks future authorised access. Reconnecting does not transfer an old AI approval to a new credential or automatically retry a costly action.
My assistant cannot see a report or a feature.
Check the owning account, approved domain, granted scopes, report delivery and retention. Billing-team membership does not by itself share a private report. Some features may also be operator-disabled.
The audit is still running. Should I start another?
No. Follow the returned operation ID. An ended polling window or lost response does not establish failure. The verifier can recover the original saved action without creating another.
Will I see the full dashboard inside every assistant?
No. Structured findings and readable text work independently of a rich interface. The complete ScanMySEO dashboard remains available in your signed-in account. A host-rendered interactive component is a separate compatibility step, not promised by this build.
Does connecting guarantee a listing in an app directory?
No. Custom access, independent client testing and platform review are different milestones. Only a verified published listing will be shown as an install link.
